Robert Pierce is an experienced lawyer serving innovative clients in the United States and elsewhere. He has deep expertise in the areas of intellectual property management, commercial agreements, complex business development, and technology transfer. He provides operational legal counseling to emerging companies, including transactional support, assistance with code management, trademark maintenance and enforcement, human resources management, and dispute resolution.

Until his departure from in-house practice in 2010, Robert was Director & Associate General Counsel at Adobe Systems Incorporated where he managed a team of 5 lawyers and 2 intellectual property specialists who helped launch some of the industry's most innovative products and services. Robert has worked as counsel at other technology companies and as a transactional and litigation lawyer at law firms in California and Asia. He has taught 10-week courses in intellectual property management at the Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business and has lectured on similar topics at the University of California, Haas School of Business.
